１９４９年中华人民共和国的成立，结束了中华名族一百多年半殖民地半封建社会的悲惨命运，开辟了拥有五千年文明的古老东方大国的历史新纪元。６０年来，中国各族人民先在以毛***为核心的中国第一代中央领导集体的带领下艰苦创业，建立起社会主义的基本制度，取得社会主义革命和建设的伟大成就，以及探索社会主义建设规律的宝贵经验，为当代中国的一切发展进步奠定了根本政治前提和制度基础；然后又在以邓 小 平为核心的党的第二代中央领导集体的带领下拼搏进取，进行了改革开放的新长征，开创了中国特色社会主义道路，进入了社会主义历史新时期；继而在江 泽 民为核心的党的第三代中央领导集体和以胡 锦 涛为核心的党中央领导下，继承和发展改革开放的伟大事业，创建并完善了社会主义市场经济体制，实现了国民经济持续快速发展，出现了经济、政治、文化、社会等各方面科学发展、协调发展的新局面，使中华民族大踏步赶上了时代前进的潮流，以前所未有的雄姿屹立在世界东方。

      中华人民共和国６０年来的巨大变化，将以崭新而辉煌的篇章，永远彪炳中华民族的史册。
