The PTC Creo development team is pleased to announce the availability of Creo Schematics 10.0.0.0 is a comprehensive, stand-alone 2D diagramming solution for creating 2D schematic diagrams of routed systems such as cabling, piping, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.

What’s New in PTC Creo Schematics 10.0.0.0

Remove Name Gaps
Removes the gaps in instance name serial number indices.
Benefits : When the instance is deleted and the high watermarks are not reset (Design > Design Properties > Reset Serial Numbers), the serial number is not reused and introduces gaps in instance names. This command automatically renames existing instances to remove any gaps in instance name serial number indices.

Ability to Sort Sheets for PDF and EDA/PVZ Export
Improvements to sorting capabilities in the Export Environment for PDF and Export Environment for EDA/PVZ dialog boxes.
Benefits : You can now easily sort the sheets to export as a PDF or EDA/PVZ file. The order of the sheets to export is saved with the design.

Fill Closed Geometry
Ability to set a fill color for closed geometry.
Benefits : Filling closed geometry with color allows you to differentiate between different closed geometry elements in the design sheets.

Export to PVZ
Export a design to a PVZ file.
Benefits : Allows easier Creo Schematics Windchill integration.

User Interface Improvements
The Line Properties, Select a Color, and Add Labels dialog boxes were updated to make them easier to use.
Benefits : Modernization and improved usability of dialog boxes.

Support of Hyperlinks in Labels
You can now add a hyperlink to labels.
Benefits : CTRL+ click on the label will launch the browser to the defined URL. The label is exported to PDF as a hyperlink.

Save CID to WID Verification Results
A save, command was added to verification results dialog boxes.
Benefits : Allows saving the CID/WID verification results for components, connectivity, and parameters as a file.

Change the Sheet Format to a Smaller Size
Change the sheet format to a smaller size.
Benefits : You can now change the sheet format to any size. When you change the format to a smaller size, you can manually move items to fit inside the new border.

Find Tool
A tool used for finding design and catalog items. User Interface Location: Click Data > Find.
Benefits and Description
You can easily find items in the design and catalog. You can search by design type, class, diagram type, and for specific parameters with specific values. Search by parameters allows finding items with specific parameter values and datasets assigned.

Telemetry
Diagnostic reporting is now enabled by default for Creo Schematics.
Benefits and Description
Quality Agent and the Session Logger utilities are now installed with Creo Schematics. These tool collect information and send reports to PTC on the performance and usage of Creo applications. It also reports the system information of a user, serving as a medium to help PTC improve the quality of its products.

Better quality of design export to different formats.
Benefits and Description
Improved export to PDF with better filtering of items that are not shown on the design sheet. Export of special characters and line types to EDA is improved. Support for export to DWG/DXF for AutoCAD versions up to 2018 was added. Improved export to HPGL.
