Extreme Loading for Structures or ELS from Applied Science International or ASI is a software for analyzing and predicting the behavior of structures against extreme loads. With the help of this program, structural engineers can check the state of collapse and the level of resistance of different parts of the structure against the imposed pressures. The program shows the changes that have occurred and how the different parts collapse in three-dimensional and graphical form. In this program, it is possible to test and evaluate various types of static or gradual dynamic loads on different areas of the structure.For example, it is possible to introduce instantaneous and discrete loads such as explosions, earthquakes, building settlements, winds and storms, etc., and check the structure’s behavior against these irregularities.Unlike many structural analysis software that work based on the finite element method, this program uses a non-linear and more accurate solution called AEM or Applied Element Method.
