The Christians这只来自英国利物浦的老牌乐队，自1986年成立，终于出了第5张专辑《Soul From Liverpool》，突然有个想法，估计是The Christians对利物浦这个充满着音乐与足球的城市的一种致敬，也或许是对本身的一种思考。
汗颜，对自己竟然不认识如此老牌的乐队，惊喜，原来Soul不只是黑人的天下，而且还能摇起来。The Christians的名字来源于3个都叫christians的兄弟（Garry Christian，Roger Christian，Russell Christian）巧合的是，其中后来的Henry Priestman全名叫Henry Christian Priestman。
在那个Punk,hard rock,metal充斥的80年头，在现在看来，The Christians玩的Soul绝对是一个另类。首张1987的同名专辑《The Christians》的一名惊人，再到90年的《Colour》和92年的《Happy In Hell》让The Christians风光无限。可是，后来却经历了分分合合，先是Garry Christian单飞，再到后来的Roger Christian死于脑肿瘤。一直到03年，相隔了11年再次出新砖《Prodigal Sons》，最后到现在的《The Christians》。
听着The Christians，如此的让人着迷，如此的让人舒坦，一首you make me believe in love让人听到心坎里面去，不能自拔，接下来的三首i shall be released，overwhelmed，a flame让人惊叹原来soul能与acoustic吉他能如此完美的结合，让我这个不插电狂热分子大爱不已。或许我们错过了The Christians最光辉的年代，但是年老的The Christians，也的确值得我们去品尝与收藏。Tracklist:
