Fritzing is an open-source software in the field of electronic design automation (EDA) that aims to make electronics more accessible to a wide range of users, including designers, hobbyists, and artists. The software is inspired by the Processing programming language and the Arduino microcontroller. Fritzing allows users to document their prototypes, design layout drawings for printed circuit boards (PCBs), and also be used as a tool for teaching electronic concepts. The project, which initially started as a research project at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam in Germany, has now moved towards community-based development and is popular with users of platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

Different views for circuit design: Fritzing provides the user with a simple and user-friendly interface that helps them visually view and edit their circuit in three different formats: Breadboard View, Schematic View, and Printed Circuit Board View (PCB). PCB Production: Users can use Fritzing for designs that can eventually be professionally produced or made through self-made (DIY) processes such as etching. This feature narrows the gap between the virtual design and the physical product.
Basic Built-in Simulator: A basic simulator is included in the app to help beginners and beginners in e-learning. The simulator aids the training process by analyzing the direct current (DC) circuits and checking if the parts are working within the range of their technical specifications.
Cross-platform compatibility: Fritzing is built using the Qt framework and is available for a variety of platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Community and ancillary services: Fritzing also offers a social website for sharing projects and provides services for users to order the manufacture of printed circuit boards professionally.

System Requirements

Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
CPU: x86 or ARM CPUs (for Windows 11 on ARM).
Note: Older versions of Windows 10 (un-updated since 2016) are not supported. Windows 7 and XP are also not supported.
