About：Astah is a useful program, developed specifically in order to help individuals create a wide range of diagrams and save them to the hard drive in an array of file formats, including ASTA, JUDE, HTML, PNG, JPG, CSV, XML, RTF and PPT.The simple and intuitive interface enables any type of user to work with it, regardless of their previous experience. Moreover, it is comprised of a panel in which to view and edit your project and a tabbed one in which you can switch between multiple types of previews.When using this software utility, you can create class, UseCase, statemachine, activity, sequence communication, component, deployment, data flow and composite structure diagrams. You can also make use of the templates provided.It is possible to undo and redo actions, as well as zoom in and out of the project, by using the appropriate buttons, or by holding down Ctrl and moving the scrollwheel.This program enables you to open several projects at a time, and shows them in a tabbed display. Depending on the type of diagram, you have access to a number of editing tools, such as dependency, usage, generalization and realization arrows, notes, geometrical shapes (circles, rectangles, ovals etc.), highlighters and pens. There is even the possibility of uploading pictures in GIF, JPG and PNG formats.The application also integrates a search and replace tool, which lets users look for particular items in the entire project, according to a keyword and substitute it with another.In conclusion, considering the many options available, minimal CPU and moderate memory usage, Astah is a useful piece of software.
