Siemens Simcenter Amesim or LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim is software for analyzing, modeling and simulating multidisciplinary control systems. Engineers in different disciplines, using the capabilities of these tools, can accurately simulate the performance of smart systems and evaluate their control strategies. Simcenter Amesim allows its users to save time and money by performing frontloading tests. Simcenter Amesim software is well-used in mechatronic intelligent systems where various branches of engineering are involved. Mechatronics engineers can make designing, modeling and simulating their systems easier than ever before with a comprehensive platform, and the end product will deliver significantly higher quality in less time.

Siemens Digital Industries Software announces the new release of Simcenter Amesim software, its market-leading 1D mechatronic system simulation platform. This release includes a new features, library upgrades as well as bug fixes to various user-reported issues from the previous release, providing an overall more stable experience.
Simcenter Amesim 2021.2 - Release Notes

Simcenter Amesim software 2021.2 new features

Platform facilities

Submodel Editor: custom sorting of submodel contents
- Define a custom order for parameters, variables and groups in your C-code submodels.
Test data import
- Generates a supercomponent simplifying model set-up for validation and/or definition of boundary conditions, for example.
Manage Amesim Model in Teamcenter Simulation
- Complete lifecycle control and traceability for Simcenter Amesim models and data.
- Perform multiple analysis revision based on the same released CAE 1D model.
Simcenter Amesim Client For Git Integration
- Efficiently manage models and user libraries on the client for Git server for daily work.
- Maintain the version history of all changes to users' models and libraries.
Xcelerator Share
- Cloud-based sharing platform allows users to access their models anywhere.
- Enable users to share models with coworkers, suppliers, customers.

Analysis tools

Animation: super object
- The super object allows you to organize a 3D object from an animation point of view.
- The hierarchical structure of a 3D object is grouped into one animatable object to improve appearance, sharing and design.
Plot: Data inspector
- Interactively inspect Point and curve data.
- Get relevant information about your plot on the fly.
- Select and keep interesting result sets from a set of curves
Pre- and post-processing tool enhancements
- Automatic update also allows you to animate 3D scenes, dashboards, and statecharts while performing tool coupling.
- New 3D scatter plot display.

Modelica Platform

Compilation and Synchronization workflow improvement
- Add or synchronize Modelica models in Simcenter Amesim regardless of the active mode.

Software Interfaces

Physical ports on imported Simcenter Flomaster FMUs
- Simcenter Flomaster FMUs can optionally be equipped with physical ports when imported into Simcenter Amesim, enabling direct connections with hydraulic or thermal-hydraulic components.

MiL, SiL, HiL and real time

Support of AVL Testbed.CONNECT
- Simcenter Amesim real-time capable models can now be exported as Functional Mock-up Units (FMUs) specifically generated for AVL Testbed.CONNECT.
Support of dSPACE SCALEXIO 2020-B (Linux based)
- Simcenter Amesim real-time capable models can now be exported to dSPACE SCALEXIO 2020-B (Linux based) through an FMI or a Simulink based workflow.
Automation Connect improvements
- Automation Connect gets an improved OPC UA support and a more user-friendly handling of Simcenter Amesim simulation parameters amongst other usability enhancements.
Export of reduced-order models (ROMs) as S-functions via scripting
- New Python scripts allow users to export response surface models (RSMs) or artificial static or dynamic neural networks (ONNX files) as S-functions complying with Simulink code generation.

Simcenter Amesim allows system simulation engineers to virtually assess and optimize the performance of mechatronic systems. This will boost overall systems engineering productivity from the early development stages until the final performance validation and controls calibration.
Siemens Digital Industries Software is driving transformation to enable a digital enterprise where engineering, manufacturing and electronics design meet tomorrow.
